Post office
• Options to cancel or schedule sending, email reminders, and track replies make it even easier to manage your email.
• Improved search functionality displays more accurate and complete results and suggests suggestions as you type.
Spotlight
• Quick View allows you to view any file from the results list by simply pressing the space bar on it.
• The image search feature helps you find images on the web, as well as in Photos, Messages, Notes and Finder.
• You can view detailed information about musicians, movies, companies, sports teams and competitions, and much more right in the search.
Safari and login keys
• Shared Tab Groups let you share sets of tabs with other users. Working together, you will immediately see any changes to the common group of tabs.
• Login keys are a simpler, more secure login method designed to replace traditional passwords.
Messages
• To simplify correspondence, new functions have appeared: you can now edit a message, unsend it, or mark a message as unread.
• With SharePlay support in Messages, you can watch movies, listen to music, and view various content with friends while chatting.
• In Messages, you can easily invite people to collaborate on files, and all updates will be displayed in the conversation.
Photo
• iCloud Shared Photo Library makes it easy to share photos and videos with up to five family members in a separate photo library built into the Photos app.
Stage Director
• Arranger automatically organizes windows and apps, placing the active app in the center of the screen and other open apps to the left.
• To switch between applications, you can tap any open application on the left side of the screen.
• In the Director, you can group applications, creating convenient collections.
• Quick access to the Desktop allows you to easily drag and drop files into applications opened in the Staging Manager.
FaceTime
• Handoff for FaceTime lets you instantly transfer FaceTime calls from your Mac to your iPhone or iPad and vice versa.
Continuity Feature for Camera
• Continuity for Camera lets you use your iPhone as a webcam for a nearby Mac by securing your iPhone in the holder (requires iPhone XR or later).
• Available in a variety of video and lighting effects, including Portrait (iPhone XR and later), Spotlight (iPhone 11 and later), and Studio Light (iPhone 11 and later).
• Desk View uses iPhone's ultra-wide camera to show off your desktop during video meetings (requires iPhone 11 or later).
This update also contains other features and improvements.
• The Clock app on Mac offers world clocks, timers, and alarms—features that are also found on other Apple devices.
• Weather comes to Mac, optimized for large displays with interactive animations, hourly forecasts, and detailed weather maps.
• You can raise a subject in a photo above the background, then copy and paste it into apps such as Mail and Messages.
• Focus filters hide distracting content in apps like Calendar, Mail, Messages, Safari, and third-party apps.
• The updated System Settings interface has become more convenient for navigation.
• Quick responses to threats allow you to install important macOS security updates faster.
