Lotus Vehicle Simulation can perform single or multiple runs to accurately predict the performance, emmissions, fuel consumption and even lap time of a modelled vehicle.
The program can be used to optimise gear and final drive ratios, assess fuel economy sensitvity, and assess powertrain suitability in given vehicle applications.In addition to global event-based results the instantaneous variation of vehicle system properties within the model can be analysed .The unique internal solver ensures analysis results are produced in only a few seconds.
An integrated database tool allows users to build models on a 'component-by-component' basis. For example, this allows the user to select an existing gearbox from the database and replace the one in the model without repeating data entry.The database can be used either individually by users to provide a convenient tool for storing project specific data, or as a source of company-wide data in a protected environment.
