CinePerc library is the next installment of the popular “Cine” series that includes CineBrass and CineWinds. Like those libraries, CinePerc was recorded at the SONY Scoring Stage in Los Angeles, and mixed by master engineer Dennis Sands.

CinePerc CORE
This CORE library brings you the bread and butter of the orchestral percussion section – generally instruments that were standard in pre-20th Century scores. This set of instruments will cover a large part of your day-to-day orchestral percussion needs. And because we recorded these samples at Sony, they will blend perfectly with CineBrass and CineWinds, allowing you to get as close as possible to that full orchestral Hollywood sound. CinePerc breaks new ground in the addition of a new “LFE/SUB” channel. All of the instruments requiring this additional low-end boost were mixed by Dennis Sands to contain this channel. So, for those of us with a surround and sub setup, you can send this LFE/SUB channel to your sub. Add that to the QUAD mix, and you have a near-final mix for large movie theaters. Along with the LFE channel (on most instruments), CinePerc adds in the standard Full Mix from Dennis Sands, Close, Overhead, Mid Room, Room and Surrounds. When the LFE is created (for the low frequency instruments) the Room and Surrounds transform into a QUAD Front and QUAD rear channel creating a perfect 4.1 environment specifically remixed by Dennis Sands. CinePerc PRO
CinePerc PRO is an extremely useful part of our large CinePerc library; the next installment of our popular orchestral series that includes CineBrass and CineWinds. Like those libraries, CinePerc was recorded at the SONY Scoring Stage in Los Angeles, and mixed by master engineer Dennis Sands. This package includes many more percussion instruments for your template. In general, these patches give you control over sounds that were more recently standardized in 20th Century music and film scores. They will expand your composing toolbox, and blend perfectly with all of the other “Cine” series libraries.

One of the highlights of the CinePerc PRO library is the addition of a massive drum kit. The main element that sets this kit apart from other kits is the room in which it was recorded. Composers work hard to get a drum kit to sit in an orchestral mix. Now you have a kit that was sampled in the same room that thousands of great orchestral scores were recorded. This drum kit has a legendary history, and has been used on hundreds of our favorite film scores and rock albums. It has ‘that’ sound, and we think you’ll love it. Recorded and mixed by Dennis Sands, there are multiple options in the mixing console including a Quad+LFE (4.1) to get the exact sound you are looking for, whether it’s that close tight sound, or a more ambient ‘orchestral mix’ sound, this kit can be used in any style of music that you throw at it. CinePerc EPIC
CinePerc EPIC is the most beastly of the four CinePerc packages. This installment contains many of the largest drums recorded on film scores, games and trailers, with one main goal in mind: BIG. The scope and size of the sound produced by these drums is elegantly captured and mixed by master engineer Dennis Sands. This library includes enormous-sounding single and ensemble percussion patches to give your cues that punch they need. Trailer music composers will find themselves reaching for these patches first to get that larger-than-life sound. Hitting anything in the SONY room sounded amazing, so we hit whatever we could – and it all integrates seamlessly with our other Sony-recorded libraries.

One of the highlights of this library is the ensemble hits portion. So not only did we deeply sample the individual instruments, but we had a full day of 6-10 people performing a variety of combinations of drums. We believe there is nothing like hearing a group ensemble perform together, versus stacking samples together in post production. From low beefy boom hits, to mid range crunchy hits, to hi frequency slap hits, to ensemble metal hits and full range combo hits, we think you will have the variety needed to give your music the massive sound it needs. CinePerc AUX
CinePerc AUX is an auxiliary expansion to the other CinePerc options that will expand your template along with your creativity. These samples were recorded along with the rest of CinePerc at the SONY Scoring Stage, and were also mixed by Dennis Sands. This expansion includes many of the other colors you’ll need in your percussion writing. It includes ethnic instruments, toys, and other knick-knacks to give your pieces an extra flavor. The ability to use off-the-beaten-path sounds is essential in film, tv, and video-game writing, and we recorded every random instrument we could get a hold of!
