Windows 10 version 1909 Build 18363.1198 Business / Consumer Editions

The Microsoft development team is pleased to announce the availability of Windows 10 version 1909 (19H2) build 18363.1198. This build includes all of the latest 19H2 features as well as the latest fixes included as part of KB4586786.

Improvements and fixes
This security update includes quality improvements. Key changes include:
- This build includes all the improvements from Windows 10, version 1903.
- Updates the 2020 DST start date for the Fiji Islands to December 20, 2020.
- Addresses an issue with the package frame launcher (PSF) that passes a malformed parameter to a shim.
- Addresses a security vulnerability by preventing applications that run as a SYSTEM account from printing to local ports that point to a file. Failing print jobs log error 50, “The request is not supported.” in event ID 372 in the PrintService\Admin event log. To address this issue in the future, make sure your applications or services run as a specific user or service account.
- Security updates to the Microsoft Scripting Engine, the Microsoft Graphics Component, Windows Input and Composition, the Windows Wallet Service, Windows Fundamentals, and the Windows Kernel.

Microsoft released Windows 10’s November 2019 Update, codenamed 19H2, on November 12. Also known as Windows 10 version 1909, this is the smallest, quickest Windows 10 Update yet. It’s practically just a service pack.

Microsoft’s John Cable explains that this update “will be a scoped set of features for select performance improvements, enterprise features, and quality enhancements.” In other words, expect a select set of bug fixes, performance tweaks, and a handful of business features.
