ThermoAnalytics has released TAITherm 12.5, is advanced thermal analysis software that provides engineers with an expert tool for the fast and accurate heat transfer simulations of transient thermal problems.

Version 12.5 new:

Version 12.5 contains several upgrades that will boost your simulation capabilities and improve your workflow. Below is a list of our top features to give you a taste of some of the advancements we have made.

- Improved accuracy for solid elements
Easily model an accurate thermal interaction between dissimilar materials. By specifying the thickness, material, and contact resistance in the part editor, you can model more complex scenarios by improving the accuracy of the thermal interface. Using this feature also eliminates the need to mesh multiple components - saving you time and reducing the possibility of errors.
- Specify flow rate for branches in the Exhaust Stream Feature
Instead of an equal amount of exhaust flowing down each pipe, designate a specific percentage of exhaust for each branching pipe in your system for a more accurate model.
- Create Multiple Inlet/Single Outlet or Single Inlet/Multiple Outlet sub-streams
You can now define sub-streams with a single inlet and multiple outlets or multiple inlets and a single outlet to reduce set-up time and improve accuracy for your exhaust model.
- Conditional filters help you locate thermal links
Using the conditional filters, you can narrow down your list of thermal links making it easier and faster to locate thermal links in large models.
- Visualize Exhaust Stream temperatures and boundary conditions
Using an interactive image of your exhaust system, you can select a specific section of your exhaust model which then filters the list of post-processing results so you can view specific temperatures and boundary conditions for that selected section.
- Updated TDIFO Library works with multiple compiler versions
Using our updated TDIFO library works with multiple versions of your compiler. You can now disconnect compatibility requirements between your compiler version and the TDIFO, alleviating some of the pain of upgrading your tool chain.

TAITherm is a cross-platform thermal and infrared signature modeling tool for Windows, Linux, and Unix computers that can be used to model the steady state and transient distribution of heat over complex surface descriptions of component systems. TAITherm models 3-D conduction, convection, and multibounce radiation. The output from TAITherm is the temperature map of the component system which can be viewed using the integrated post-processor. ViewTherm is a cross-platform post-processing tool for viewing the results of TAITherm simulations. ViewTherm provides the same post-processing power as the thermal simulation codes, including plotting and exporting.
