Tecplot Focus 2021 R2 m1 (2021.2.1.9698)

The software developer Tecplot, Inc. is pleased to announce the availability of Focus R2 m1 (2021.2.1.9698) is a powerful tool for visualizing a wide range of technical data. It offers line plotting, 2D and 3D surface plots in a variety of formats, and 3D volumetric visualization.

Bug Fixes and Enhancements in 2021.2.1
- Some users with non-US decimal separator system settings on Windows and macOS reported issues where some text fields refused to accept decimal values. This issue has been fixed.
- Layout package files (.lpk) were overly constrained in the 2019 release to about a ~4Gb file size limit. Saving files larger than the limit gave an error message. This release restores the previous behavior (in 360 2018 R2 and earlier), and adds an informative error message in situations where the .lpk limit has been reached while saving.
- An issue has been fixed where Focus was limited in the number of license files that it could access from a license server, preventing some users from utilizing multiple licenses hosted on the same server. These limits have been removed.
- Fixed an issue where licenses which use an activation code were not automatically updating at expiration. This affected 2021 R2 builds downloaded between November and mid-December.



Tecplot Focus is engineering plotting software with extensive XY, 2D and 3D capabilities. It is designed more for measured field data, performance plotting of test data, mathematical analysis, and engineering plotting in general. Tecplot Focus is based on Tecplot 360 EX, Tecplot's flagship visualization product, and has much of the same power. One of the key differentiators between Tecplot Focus and Tecplot 360 is that Tecplot Focus does not support CFD data formats, CFD analysis, and transient data.
