Languages: Deutsch, English, 日本語, 中文, Русский, Magyar

The Tecnomatix development team is pleased to announce the availability of Plant Simulation 16.0.3 is maintenance release that corrects customer-reported issues and adapts the product to a changed environment. A maintenance release can also include new software functionality.

Maintenance Notes for Tecnomatix Plant Simulation 16.0.3

Fixed Bugs of the Fluid Objects
• We fixed a bug which caused an unnecessary error message to be show when the transfer of materials was stopped for an object, which had Tank as predecessor and which became full and empty at the same time, if, for example, a Portioner filled the MU all the way. The message was shown although no transfer between these two objects occurred and a sensor of the Tank controlled the flow rates for becoming full/empty.
Fixed Bugs of the Resource Objects
• We fixed a bug des Workerpool which prevented you from defining more than 31 services in the creation table.
• We fixed a bug which occurred in special situations and caused an unnecessary error message to be shown telling you that no Workplace exists for a Worker when resetting the model. (PR 9970158)
Fixed Bugs of the Information Flow Objects
• We fixed a bug which prevented that the dialog Format was opened for sub-tables. The bug occurred when you assigned a DataTable to a Source with the MU selection > Sequence and activated the check box Common format for the column Attributes in this DataTable. Then Plant Simulation did not open the dialog Format of the sub-tables for columns.
• We fixed a bug which suspended syntax highlighting until the next change of the source code or until the Method was opened again when you applied changes in the Method Editor by pressing the F7 key for example. (PR 9958567)
• We fixed a bug which prevented automatic path extension in the Method Editor to offer a parameter for the method closeDialog of the DataTable. (PR 9961448)
• We fixed a bug when duplicating global Variables with Drag and Drop. If the initial value of the copied global Variable was activated and if this setting was not inherited, inheritance was not deactivated in the copy. Then the initial value could be lost. (PR 9969995)
• We extended the behavior of the object Teamcenter. If you do not specify the attributes ServerURL or UserName, i.e., assigned an empty string, the object uses the setting that you entered for opening the model from Teamcenter or for checking the model in or out, provided you specified these settings.
• We increased error tolerance of the method parse of Variables of data type JSON. If the string starts with a B
Miscellanea
• We fixed a bug which caused a model with an extremely high number of MUs located on a Buffer to react sluggishly.
• We fixed a bug which caused Plant Simulation to become unusable. The bug occurred when loading a model which required a VSM license and when this license was not available. Then Plant Simulation did close the model, but not the status window. (PR 9960782)
• We fixed a crash which occurred when using a Display Panel . The crash could occur when the Display Panel showed a user-defined attribute of data type object and that object, which pointed to the attribute, was deleted. (PR 9957861)
• We fixed a bug which prevented observers from being notified when a user-defined attribute changed its value through a call of the method inheritAttribute or when you changed the value in the dialog.
• We fixed a bug which caused the commands Open Origin and Open Class on the ribbon bar to be deactivated for user-defined attributes of type List, Table, Queue, and Stack. (PR 9961440)
Fixed Bugs in 3D
• We fixed a bug which caused a possibly wrong animation of MUs in a Store in 3D if MUs were pulled from the bottom of the stack and if new MUs were placed on top of the stack while the animation was deactivated.
• We fixed a problem which caused Workers, walking freely within the model, to always look in the positive x-direction based on the Frame view. (PR 9960362, PR 9970477)
• We fixed a bug of the method _3D.convertMUAnimationAreaToPaths which caused errors in the computation of animation paths if the MU animation area contained a dynamic type or an MU rotation. (PR 9958526)
• We fixed a problem which prevented the name of graphic groups to also be exporting when exporting graphics in the Jt format.
• We made the creation of MU instances faster as the creation of a large number of MUs at the end of a Fast-Forward-Simulation could sometimes take a long time.
• We fixed a problem which made it hard to hit the distance for aligning objects to the grid with the mouse if the grid had a very small grid distance, for example 10 cm unless you zoomed the model very close. If you only set this distance to guarantee a rasterization, this was hardly possible at all. Now the relative sphere of influence of the grid lines also depends on the grid distance.
• We fixed a problem which put the input focus in the 2D Frame when you inserted a new object into the 3D window with Drag and Drop in a 2D/3D model and when the 2D window of this Frame was open at the same time. This caused keyboard input to arrive in the 2D window, although the 3D window was active and thus keyboard shortcuts that only apply to 3D to not work while keyboard shortcuts from 2D, which are not available in 3D, to work. In addition the selection of the 2D window instead of the 3D window was considered when processing keyboard shortcuts. (PR 9969879)
Fixed Bugs of the Object Libraries
• We enhanced the accuracy for calculating confidence intervals of the ExperimentManager and of the object Confidence of the library Statistical Tools. (PR 9948539) 15.2.5, 16.0.3
