Siemens Tecnomatix Plant Simulation 15.1.1 | 1.2 Gb

Siemens PLM Software is pleased to announce the availability of Tecnomatix Plant Simulation 15.1.1, is a discrete-event simulation tool that helps you to create digital models of logistic systems (such as production), so that you can explore a system’s characteristics and optimize its performance.

Maintenance Notes for Tecnomatix Plant Simulation 15.1.1

Fixed Bugs of the Material Flow Objects
- We changed the behavior of the method setRoute of the MUs. When the last object of the specified route is not the destination object, and when automatic routing is off, Plant Simulation does not append the destination object to the route any longer. In previous version the destination object was automatically appended. When you later specified another destination object and then assigned a route again, the previous destination object was appended to the route. This cannot happen anymore. (PR 9567819)
- We fixed a bug, which sometimes prevented that moving to a target position worked correctly when the Transportercollided with another one.
- We fixed a bug, which sometimes prevented the Transporter from starting again after the end of a failure/pause of the Track, on which it drove, when it decelerated at the start of the failure/pause to reach the target position.
- We changed the behavior of the Transporter (AGV) that is not bound to a fixed route network. It can now also drive vertically upwards.
- We fixed a bug of the Conveyor which sometimes occurred when loading space and acceleration were active. Then it could occur that the MU did not leave the loading space when it was moved from a Conveyor conveying parts forwards to the loading space conveying parts backwards.
- We fixed a bug of the PickAndPlace-Robot. When you configured it with drag and drop, the settings Unload part or Load part only worked after Resetting the model.
- We fixed a bug, which sometimes prevented that carrying away of MUs, for which the destination was determined by the exit strategy from working when a blocking Interface, was located between start and finish.
Fixed Bugs of the Information Flow Objects
- We fixed a bug of the Method Editor. When you dragged selected text with the mouse from a Method Editor window to another MDI window, the text sometimes was only copied in move mode instead of being moved.
- We fixed a bug of the Method Editor. When you used the when-then-else-control structure with activated Syntax In-dentation, the Method did not recognize and use automatic indentation correctly any more. Indentation did not work correctly when you selected the command Reformat Selection. (PR9363903)
- We fixed a crash of the Method Editor. It sometimes occurred when you used the regular expression ? for finding text.
- We fixed a bug of the DataTable. It sometimes caused the text format for all columns to be activated when Exporting as Excel File independent of the data type of the Plant Simulation-DataTable. (PR 9566620)
- We fixed a bug of Lists and DataTables. When you saved these with the new file extension .psobj they were not read in correctly.
Fixed Bugs of the Resource Objects
We fixed a crash of the Worker who was moving freely within the area of the model. The crash could occur when the computed route network was very large and when the Worker had to walk a very long way. (PR 9583816)
Fixed Bugs of the Fluid Objects
We improved the behavior of the Pipe. In models of version 15.0.1 and older we now only correct the Flow rate of Pipes, which is -1, when these only have a single Pipe as predecessor. In version 15.0.1 this Flow rate was ignored, now it is evaluated though.
Fixed Bugs in 3D
- We changed the behavior when importing JT files which contained several references to the same graphic. As op-posed to previous versions these references now are preserved. This applies when exporting JT files when Optimize for CAD was turned off.
- We fixed a bug which caused Plant Simulation to hang when you selected an .s3d file from a newer program version when selecting the command Exchange Graphics.
- We fixed a bug which in rare cases occurred when loading object files in which inheritors of the loaded classes have animatable objects. For individual objects it could occur that an animatable object was present several times.
- We fixed a bug which occurred when an MU was located exactly on the start of a segment of a length-oriented object. Then it was sometimes shown tilted on its head.
- We fixed a bug which occurred when assigning the attribute _3D.ScaleAutomatically. Then the new effective scaling did not take effect immediately (either [1,1,1] when deactivating or the scaling resulting from the object dimensions when activating).
Miscellanea
- We fixed a bug, which prevented the simulation from being continued when you inserted a die Conveyor while the simulation was running.
- We fixed a bug of the function animation. It returned the state of the animation but always expected a new state. Now you can also call the function without the parameter. (PR 9579516)
- We improved the behavior for the frame rate of the animation. This leads to the value specified under File > Model Settings > Simulation > Frame rate being reached more closely.Up until now the actually reached Frame rate in 3D models was considerably lower than the specified frame rate. Note that this can lead to more CPU time being used for rendering the 3D scene and thus less CPU time is available for the simulation. In this case the simulation with activated animation now runs slower when Real time is cleared in the EventController. You can compensate for this by entering a smaller frame rate. In general we recommend a frame rate of 30 frames per second for monitors with a refresh rate of 60 Hz.
- We changed the behavior of the real time simulation. It now automatically reduces the frame rate when the simulation cannot keep abreast of the real time. When you communicate with devices in real time via OPC, Socket or another interface, this is of advantage as the simulation then does not lag behind reality that much. It may cause the animation to stutter though.
- We fixed a bug, which sometimes prevented deactivating inheritance of an attribute in the dialog Show Attributes and Methods from working.
- We fixed a bug of the Class Library. If it was activated once, it captured the input focus when you copied an object in the Frame with the keyboard. When you then pressed Ctrl+C, the Class Library was focused, and die key combination Ctrl+V for pasting the object was not executed. (PR 9580037)
- We fixed a bug, which sometimes prevented the user-defined context menu of the Frame to be closed as well when the Frame window was closed.

Tecnomatix Plant Simulation digital models allow you to run experiments and what-if scenarios without disturbing existing production systems or – when used in the planning process – long before the real production systems are installed. Extensive analysis tools, such as bottleneck analysis, statistics and charts let you evaluate different manufacturing scenarios. The results provide you with the information needed to make fast, reliable, smarter decisions in the early stages of production planning.

Using Plant Simulation, you can model and simulate production systems and their processes. In addition, you can optimize material flow, resource utilization and logistics for all levels of plant planning from global production facilities, through local plants, to specific lines.
