Thermodynamics
o The Material Stream created after importing an .mfl into Symmetry will be named based on the name of the imported .mfl file.
x Bulk Viscosity Mixing model parameters can be now specified correctly without causing changes in the selection Bulk Viscosity Mixing model. Power of Viscosity parameter can be specified only for the Volume and Power Mixing models, and Richardson K Parameters can only be specified when the active model is Richardson.
x Updated the Ideal Gas Heat of Formation at 298K for 1,4-CYCLOHEXANEDIMETHANOL and 1,4-CYCLOHEXANEDICARBOXYLIC ACID, DIMETHYL ESTER. The updated values are available in the Database Version V 2023.3.

Flare Workspace
o Added a pop-up to confirm the deletion of related scenarios from the Flare Scenario Manager when a flare flowsheet is deleted.
x Fix for case corruption that could happen when deleting a relief valve that is active as a scenario source and its pressure specification type in the scenario is not at the inlet port (Overpressure, Accumulation, or Relieving P).
x Fixed missing calculation of Cv and DeltaP when the control valve is a source in a Flare network.

Flaresim
+ Enabled specification of the fluid lower heating value over time when using flare tip dynamics calculations.
o Added warning message for tips when fluid being used is deleted.
o The color of a particular receptor point is now defined to be consistent across all Grid isopleth plots.
x Fixed unit conversion error in flare tip safety calculations when the active unit set's angle unit is "rad".

Pipe Workspace
o Added an error message to notify the user when the network exceeds the size limit.
x Expanded Well Name character limit to 40 characters in the Network Designer mode.

Network Solver
+ The Dukler method is now supported in the Pipe and Flare workspaces.
x Fixed the blend viscosity calculation for the Beggs and Brill model in the Flare and Pipe workspaces.

Dynamics
+ Allow Extension Unit Ops to be loaded in cases without dynamics support. For existing cases the Extension Unit Operation needs to be recreated.
+ Delta Pressure vs Flow (Mass or Volume base) curve was added to rotating equipment (pump, compressor, and expander) in steady state and dynamics.
o Improved convergence of flashes in dynamics with very heavy components by using stricter iteration convergence criteria.
x Fixed crash in dynamics when using Multirate integration.
x Fixed rare crash due to thermodynamic package desynchronization when loading cases saved in Symmetry 2022.2.
x Fixed reporting of superficial phase velocities in dynamics pipe segments.

+ OLI Link - Application example case detailing corrosion results for pipe units and pipe flow path viewer was added to Symmetry in the Symmetry Installation Path\Documentation\Manual Examples\Extensions and Links\OLI Link\Pipe_Corrosion.vsym.
+ OLI Link - Manual example correlating to the example case was created to detail the steps for creating the sample case which can be found in the OLI Electrolyte Property Calculations Examples page of the manual.
+ OLI Link - Pipe Flow Path Viewer section of the Symmetry manual was updated to contain information on the Corrosion tab added to the flow path viewer and describing the function of the new tab.
+ OLI Link - Pipe flow path viewer unit operation corrosion results now display in the new tab called Corrosion in the pipe flow path viewer window.
+ OLI Link - Pipe Segment section of the Symmetry manual was updated to contain information on the Corrosion tab added to describing the function of the new tab.
+ OLI Link - Pipe unit operation corrosion results can now be calculated and seen in the new tab called Corrosion found under the Profiles tab.
+ PIPESIM Link - Added option to "Connect Using Latest PIPESIM Server". In cases where there is no official support for the selected PIPESIM installation, this option will enable the unit operation to try to connect to PIPESIM using the closest available server executable. Note that compatibility with this server has not been verified.
+ PIPESIM Link - Added support for PIPESIM 2022.2, which exposes Total Distance profile and Casing properties Measured Depth and True Vertical Depth.
+ PIPESIM Link - Added support for PIPESIM 2023.1.
x MySep Link - Updated incorrect message in dynamic separator using the MySep Link that was displayed when MySep License was not available.
x PIPESIM Link - Removed duplicate point from the Profiles tab in the PIPESIM Link unit operation.

Productivity Tools
o Max Iterations setting is visible in Optimizer and Model Regression only when applicable to the selected optimization method.

Unit Operations
+ Electrolyzer - Alkaline Water Electrolyzer (AWE) has been added as a new electrolyzer type.
+ Electrolyzer - The Electrolyzer now includes a mechanistic method to predict the effect of temperature on the relationship between current density and operating voltage (Patent Pending).
+ Electrolyzer - Calculation of the temperature set point to compensate for voltage decay.
+ Electrolyzer - A schematic is provided showing a flow diagram for the electrolyzer when not in advanced mode.
+ Electrolyzer - Ingress of air into the electrolyzer can be modelled by defining a leak stream.
+ Electrolyzer - OTH and HTO ratios are calculated based on the specified crossover.
+ Electrolyzer - The Electrolyzer will solve when inert nitrogen flows through the process side.
+ Electrolyzer - Warnings are given when an electrolyzer is operating in some unsuitable process conditions.
+ Membrane - A new Reverse Osmosis mode has been added to the Membrane unit operation, which uses osmotic pressure as the driving force for solvent transport across the membrane. This membrane mode is currently only supported for use with the OLI property package.
+ Membrane - The Membrane unit operation has been added to the list of supported unit operations in the OLI Thermodynamic Model.
+ The Burner, Fired Heater, Bath Heater and Boiler unit operations calculate the explosive limits of fuel-air mixtures at the flame temperature.
o Changed "Neglect Zero Split Port" feature in Splitter unit operation to prevent information of zero-flow ports from propagating to downstream unit operations.
o Electrolyzer - Crossover direction is selectable.
o Electrolyzer - Crossover specifications are applied to the total flow of a component.
o Heat Exchanger - Improved generation of PSF files for super critical fluids.
o Improved accuracy of heat transfer coefficient calculations in steady-state by using applicable correlations (Mixed Convection Turbulent Flow or Mixed Convection Laminar Flow) based on narrowly defined flow regions.
o Improved handling of thermo un-assignment impacting component-based specifications in Membrane unit operation.
o Property Table - Implemented additional data reconciliation to improve continuity in property and derivative plots in the OLGA application from the Property Table unit operation. This behavior can be turned on or off by toggling the Advanced Extrapolation option under the Property Table Settings tab.
x Fixed issue with Line Sizing tool that caused the calculated diameter to always increase when changing the Material Stream temperature.

User Interface
x Case Notes were fixed to prevent adding unrequired line spaces between paragraphs.
x Copying using the Ctrl+C shortcut in the Case Study results grid now properly copies entire data values from the selection instead of just the display values.
x Fixed an issue preventing the Warnings Tab in the Oil Analysis unit operation from showing the warnings information.
x Fixed display issues of the Properties Settings Tab in the Oil Analysis unit operation that were caused by higher resolution display settings.
x Fixed rare crash when inspecting a compound and the Thermodynamic Models filter was set to "Low Pressure Non Associating Chemicals".
x Fixed Symmetry not closing properly causing a second instance of Symmetry to freeze when opening windows. Issue caused by August 2022 Visio Update. Affects Visio 2016 and above.
x Fixed the window of reactors FCC, FTR, PG, ISO, FC and PFR to avoid window elements showing outside the boundaries of their section (overlapping issue).
x Model Regression dropdown and Selected Case dropdown on Model Regression window are updated when cloning a case as regression.
x Stripchart Tooltip updated to display overtop of legend.

Documentation
x Fixed synchronization between Graphic User Interface (GUI) and engine for the SSDyn-SourGasSweeteningUsingMDEA Application Example case.
x The Symmetry UI Automation Excel example now references the correct SymmetryApp library and can be used properly.

Miscellaneous
o Linear volume mixing is now the default method for bulk viscosity calculations across all workspaces in steady-state and dynamics. This has improved the consistency of pressure drop calculations across all workspaces. In particular, pressure drop results should now be more consistent across engines when using Beggs and Brill, Lockhart-Martinelli, or mechanistic models, as updates have been made to ensure uniform assumptions for choices like blending methods and phase identification.
x Fixed the Currency Exchange Update feature in the Economics Summary; it now properly populates the most recently available exchange rates.
x OPC Client - Fixed crash when a subscribed group forces "Read From Server" and one of the tags doesn't exist in the server.
