PathWave Advanced Design System (ADS) 2024 Update 0.1 | 7.0 Gb
Keysight Technologies, Inc. has released Update 0.1 for PathWave Advanced Design System (ADS) 2024 , which addresses 21 items (bugs/tasks/stories) in the following areas: Circuit Simulation, Data Display, Design and Tech Management, Design Cloud, Design Editing and Layout, EM Simulation, HSD and Quantum.
Advanced Design System 2024 0.1 Release Notes
Note: Starting ADS 2022 release, support for the following operating systems has been discontinued:
- Windows 7 Enterprise
- RedHat Linux RHEL 6.x
- SuSe Linux SLES 11
Feature Updates
ElectroThermal
Circuit Simulation - ElectroThermal
- ETH Floorplanner now supports nested technology using SmartMount.
HSD
General
- Support reserved parameters Modulation_Levels and PAM_Thresholds with AMI model builders.
EM - SIPro
- You can now add a custom opening (antipad) above and below a given micro via. For details, see the documentation.
Quantum
General
- Enhancements have been made to improve the quantum parameter extraction process for the energy participation analysis in QuantumPro.
Top Fixed Issues
Data Display
General
- Fixed a bug preventing undo from reverting the operation of aligning objects on a page.
- Fixed a potential crash when zooming on marker readout in a plot with a legend.
Design & Tech Management
General
- Fixed Python context menu item appearing when right-clicking in a design.
Design Editing and Layout
General
- The push into editing command has been fixed so that it does not check out the additional 'symbol' view.
Design Import/Export
- Fixed a defect preventing ABL from importing certain layer process roles correctly.
Design Cloud
General
- Fixed an issue in shared roots where a shared root had a common part with the workspace without containing it.
EM Simulation
FEM
- An issue that could cause the 3D mesh generation to fail has been fixed.
Momentum
- An issue has been fixed that caused a Momentum remote parallel simulation to fail on Windows when a 32-bit application is in the %PATH% variable.
- An issue has been fixed in the effective thickness computation for the surface impedance. It could cause a small offset in DC resistance.
RFPro
- The validity check on the component model de-embedding setting was too strict for multi-port configurations. It has been removed from the UI.
- The .sio to .cti file conversion when using RFPro under the IC Tools could time out for designs with a large number of ports. The current time-out is 60 seconds. It can be configured by setting an environment variable: 'EMPRO_MDL_TIMEOUT'.
- An issue that unexpectedly popped up a dialog asking for a project save during a parameter sweep has been fixed.
- An issue has been fixed where non-ASCII Latin characters in library, cell, or view names prohibited running a parameter sweep.
- An issue has been fixed that created a too-large waveguide port rectangle when using FEM Generation 2.
Quantum
General
- A bug related to extracting the cross-Kerr from the Full EM Analysis in QuantumPro has been fixed.
Quantum Layout
- Layer parameters have been improved to streamline assigning different layers within quantum chips.
Superconducting Qubits
- The results of the design flow examples for superconducting qubits have been updated following a bug fix, specifically for the frequency domain analysis.
