The MAXSURF development team is pleased to announce the release of Multiframe CONNECT Edition V23 Update 5 (23.05.00.139). This solution helps structural experts check the structure of their vessel to comply with class requirements and optimise it for strength and weight. It can be used for deck grillage, frame, superstructure and mast strength calculations.

MAXSURF and Multiframe CONNECT Edition V23.05.00 Readme - Date: 28 April 2022
New features in this release include:
- Nesting (bin packing) of structural parts in Modeler
- Quadrilateral elements in meshes in Modeler
- IMS LPP files can be saved directly to files with .txt extension in Modeler
- Improvements to the COM Automation interface for copying tables in Stability, Motions and Multiframe
- The problem which caused a crash when opening some .skr filed has been fixed in Motions
- Improved modeling of rounded (filleted) patch corners in Multiframe

Changes: All Applications
1140519: Microsoft Windows 11 support
Bug fixes and minor changes
1141137: Windows 8 is no longer supported

Changes: Multiframe
228272: Rounded corner patch openings
Openings with rounded (filleted) corners can now be added and edited on arbitrarily oriented patches.

Bug fixes and minor changes
- 1119211: Some improvements have been made to the CopyTable method in the COM automation interface to ensure that the data are properly updated before being copied to the clipboard. The application should not be minimized when using this method since Windows does not update the display of minimized applications and this prevents the clipboard from being populated with the correct data.
Note that CopyTable is a property in Multiframe and uses the following syntax – use =True (or =False) to include (or exclude) the Table Caption and Row Headers: app.Frame.CopyTable (PatchOpenings24) = True since this syntax is a little confusing, a method CopyTableToClipboard has been added and this uses the following syntax app.Frame.CopyTableToClipboard PatchOpenings24, True
- 1119213: "Result Window - Member stress table" MemberStressdata44 is now included in the CopyTable method in the COM automation interface. And problems with "Result Window - Design efficiency table" DesignResultData43 have been fixed.

Multiframe CONNECT Edition V23 Update 5

Multiframe provides linear and non-linear analysis, static and dynamic options and buckling calculations. These analysis options are complemented by a full range of analysis-related modeling tools like master-slave, prescribed displacements, springs, thermal effects, offset members, additional masses and much more. Other modules allow you to draw sectionshapes and install them in the sections library and perform design checks for a range of design codes. Multiframe Automation allows you to prepare design calculations in Excel and link them directly with your Multiframe model. An ever expanding range of design add-ons also allows you to simplify steel code checking and optimization.

Multiframe helps you redefine design excellence for any types of structures. Choose the version that fits your project needs:

Multiframe: Linear analysis of frame and plate structures, non-linear analysis of frames, Section properties calculator, local steel code checks (AS4100, AS4600, NZS3404)
Multiframe Advanced: Mutiframe capabilities plusdynamic modal analysis and time history analysis,International steel design codes(AIJ, ASD, LRFD, AISI, BS5950, EC3).
