About Restoring a client computer

To restore the entire hard drive of a client computer, use the Client Restore CD. The Client Restore CD contains the files that you need to start a client computer.

To restore a client computer

- Insert the Client Restore CD into the client computer that you want to restore.
- Restart the computer, and boot from the CD.
- Follow the instructions in the Restore Computer Wizard.

Important

- Before you begin, connect your client computer to the network with an Ethernet network cable. Do not attempt to use a wireless connection.
- Windows Home Server does not restore a backup to a different client computer that has dissimilar hardware.
