    InnovMetric PolyWorks Metrology Suite 2020 IR4 | 1.6 Gb

InnovMetric, the global leader in smart 3D metrology software solutions, has introduced PolyWorks MS 2020 IR4, the latest release of its 3D dimensional analysis and quality control solution. Base release offers multipiece editing capabilities that accelerate the preparation of robust inspection projects and facilitate data analysis.

    General

    - The Chinese, German, and Japanese user interfaces have been updated.
    - New translated documents are available:
. PolyWorks|Inspector Essentials Premium Package is available in Italian, Japanese, and Spanish.
. CNC CMM Essentials for PolyWorks|Inspector Premium Package is available in Italian, Japanese, and Spanish.
. PolyWorks|Modeler Light Essentials is available in Italian, Japanese, and Spanish.
    Fixed issues:
    - Issues with the STEP and IGES CAD model importers have been fixed.

    PolyWorks|Inspector

    - Data objects are now named according to their source file name, like in PolyWorks 2019. Note that Data object names are no longer propagated between linked pieces, so changing a Data object name no longer desynchronizes it from the piece template.
    - As part of the ongoing improvements made to support very large projects, enhancements have been made to the PolyWorks workspace format in order to improve performance when working with projects containing up to 100 000 pieces. Consequently, these improvements render workspaces saved in the PolyWorks 2020 IR4.0 version incompatible with earlier versions of PolyWorks.
    - Letters I, O, and Q can now be used as datum feature labels.
    - As part of the ongoing enhancements made to pattern features, the thickness and symmetry GD&T controls are now supported on patterns of slabs.
    - The latest release of Spatial’s 3D InterOp CAD import technology has been integrated. The following format can now be imported:
    . Inventor 2021
    Fixed issues:
    - An issue resulting in an incorrect orientation when setting a sphere top orientation from the current tool orientation has been fixed.
    - Improvements have been made to the GD&T residual mobility optimization.
    - Issues when importing CATIA V5 assemblies have been fixed.
    - Issues when extracting cones and cylinders on CAD models have been fixed.
    - An out-of-memory issue when using features that are trimmed using CAD surfaces has been fixed.
    - A software crash when importing CAD models has been fixed.
    - A problem with the use of alignment constraints in the Best-Fit Data to Data alignment has been fixed.
    - A translation issue when defining possible values of project and piece properties has been fixed.
    - Custom measurements can now be recorded in a measurement sequence.
    - An issue causing PolyWorks|Inspector to become unresponsive when using non-standard mouse button behaviors has been fixed.
    - An issue with the width of columns in the Device Positions and Targets pane has been fixed.
    - An issue with polyline feature extrapolation has been fixed.

    Portable metrology plug-ins

    - Version 5.1.8.3 of the SDK has been integrated into the Faro Laser Tracker plug-in. The latest model of the 6Probe accessory is now supported.
    - Version 4.24.6.2 of the SDK has been integrated into the API Radian Pro (Radian) Laser Tracker plug-in.
    - Version 5.15.2.1 of the SDK has been integrated into the API Radian Plus/Core (Omnitrac 2) Laser Tracker plugin. The v-Probe-2 accessory is now supported for this plug-in.
    Fixed issues:
    - Issues with the Leica ATS Laser Tracker plug-in have been fixed.

    CMM plug-ins

    - When using the CNC CMM plug-in, the HR-XS tool changer is now supported. It allows automatic tool changes for the following Hexagon probe heads: HP-S-X5 (LSP-X5), LSP-S2, and LSP-S4.
    - When using the Manual CMM plug-in, if the WPZ 50 protocol is selected, users can now specify whether the machine axes have reference markers on the General tab of the Probing Device Properties dialog box. If reference markers are used, a homing operation must be performed to move the machine along all axes up to each reference marker.

    Fixed issues:
    - Changes have been made to the Pantec/Wenzel drivers to avoid deflection errors and to stabilize calibration results for tactile scanning tools containing a SP25M module.
    - A performance issue when acquiring points at high frequency with Kreon scanners on a Pantec controller has been fixed.
    - A connection error with Mitutoyo CMMC controllers has been fixed.
    - Issues when connecting to Mitutoyo UC100, UC200, UC300, and UC400 controllers have been fixed.
    - A probe open issue while performing a tool change operation has been fixed.
    - An issue preventing the use of the more precise collision detection for tool orientation changes (released in PolyWorks 2020 IR3) has been fixed.
    - An issue when tactile scanning large circles on Pantec and Wenzel controllers has been fixed.

    PolyWorks|DataLoop

    - It is now possible to view a history of the data uploaded to PolyWorks|DataLoop in the new PolyWorks|DataLoop History dialog box. It displays a list of all versions of objects uploaded to PolyWorks|DataLoop in a defined time interval. It can be accessed in the Workspace Manager using the Tools > PolyWorks|DataLoop > History menu item.

InnovMetric PolyWorks Metrology Suite 2020 IR4

It displays the database name and contains the following elements:

. The From and To text boxes that allow specifying a beginning and an end date. Versions of objects uploaded during this time interval are listed below. By default, the To value is the current date and the From value is five days earlier.
. A list area that displays all uploaded objects during the specified time interval. It contains several columns, that display the type, name, upload date, user that did the upload, and upload message of the listed objects. Note that all columns can be reordered and used to sort or filter results.

To only see the history of a specific object, right-click it in the list area and click PolyWorks|DataLoop Version History in the contextual menu that is displayed. The database name is replaced by the object name and only the uploaded versions of the object are now visible in the list area. Note that this dialog box can also be accessed from the contextual menu of objects in the Tree View or in the Open Project and Open Workspace dialog boxes, or from the Tools > PolyWorks|DataLoop > Version History menu item in PolyWorks modules.

InnovMetric PolyWorks Metrology Suite 2020 IR4

    - The following functionalities have been added to improve communication between the PolyWorks Metrology Suite and PolyWorks|DataLoop Web Interface:
. The API URL text box, in the Connection Parameter dialog box, allows specifying the URL of the PolyWorks|DataLoop API. To obtain this URL, copy the URL of the PolyWorks|DataLoop Core Administrator page and replace the latter part of the URL (after dataloopcore/) with api. Note that HTTPS URLs are not supported. For an example, see below.
