ESAComp 4.7.015

Componeering Inc., the developer and distributor of ESAComp, has released ESAComp version 4.7, widely-recognized software suite for the design and analysis of composite structures.

FIXED BUGS

- The introduction of new panel load types (bending moments) in the previous ESAComp 4.6.0 version caused some existing load types (e.g. point load) to not work correctly under all circumstances. This has been fixed in 4.7.0.
- Input data checks required the E_3 modulus for sandwich face sheet plies when performing failure analyses. The analyses do not actually need E_3, which has now been corrected.
- In “Design -> Laminate evaluation” missing input checks for 3D failure criteria has been added.
- Switching the chart type (MoS, RF, IRF) for interlaminar shear failure has been re-enabled.
- Modifications of beam stiffness calculation (e.g. corrected EI_z for C stiffeners).
- In addition, many noncritical bugs have been fixed.
