CSS Civil Site Design version 18.0 | 445.0 mb
Civil Survey Solutions has released 18.0 version of Civil Site Design. This addon provides you with highly efficient and simple-to-use civil design tools for road networks, driveways, highways, road reconstruction, and any number of corridor based projects.
In Civil 3D, Civil Site Design uses the surfaces and alignments in Civil 3D, and can export surfaces, alignments, profiles and corridors and stakeout points directly to the drawing. Civil Site Design supports multiple platforms and multiple product releases and has been developed to operate on AutoCAD, Map 3D and Civil 3D from 2011 to the latest release, and recently has been updated to operate on BricsCAD.
What's New Civil Site Design version 18.0:
This release includes the following new features and enhancements:
- Model Viewer
. Includes a new Projection List method for choosing a coordinate system (this is required when obtain imagery or terrain data). Users just pick the category and the System to apply, instead of having to obtain a .prj file.
. Added a new Cache Surface option to stop rebuilding the base surface. This can enhance speed in regeneration as you add information into Model Viewer or apply other changes
. New File > Save option in the Toggle Display form. This allows saving the display state of surfaces and reloading at any time.
- Roads
. Section Manager (used by Cross Section plotting currently) now supports the inclusion of Add Extra Sampling sections.
. The Create Draped Strings has been revamped to simplify draped string creation
. Create Grading now has a dedicated Volumes tab making it easier to update and review volumes (Civil 3D users currently need to create Civil 3D surface from the grading for volume output)
. The Surface Volumes command has been revamped to improve accessibility to volume results (AutoCAD/BricsCAD only)
- Labels
. A new Chainage (Station)/Offset label has been included. You can now label chainage/offset/elevation relative to an alignment and surface by clicking in the drawing - orientation is automatically relative to the alignment
. All Civil Site Design labels now support User Editable Fields. You can set up fields in the label text that you can then populate with unique text information (similar to attributed text in a block)
. A 2 point slope label has been added for average slope between two points
- Pipes
. You can now import and support the ARR 2016 IFD Rainfall Data (Rational Method design). The Import ARR 2016 IFD command allows users to select a downloaded .csv file from the Buerea of Meteorology website.
. A command button has been added that will take users directly to the Buerea of Meteorology website to input their location and download the rainfall .csv file/s
. The DRAINS exchange tools have been enhanced
We now read the DRAINS database output file to allocate pit and pipe families/types, as well as allowing users to allocate any Overflow Route template in the DRAINS database
We have a dedicated DRAINS Catchments command to allow direct one-to-one catchment input matching the DRAINS ILSAX catchment (the DRAINS developers advise that the ARR 2016 guidelines are incomplete. As a result, we currently cannot export catchments for the ARR 2016 Initial Loss/Continuing Loss model (IL/CL method) into DRAINS. As soon as this is available the DRAINS Catchment will be enhanced with an option to input for the IL/CL method)
We have a DRAINS Overflows command allowing for assignment of DRAINS overflow templates per pit bypass, selection of a polyline to define the overflow length and slope to DRAINS and assignment of a percentage of the catchment to the overflow route.
The DRAINS Export command has been enhanced to provide the lookup table to pits and pipes. You can select corresponding DRAINS pits and pipes to match CSD pits and pipes, accessed directly from the DRAINS database. This will help prevent 'mapping' issues between CSD and DRAINS - as well, you set a Default DRAINS pipe/pit to apply in the event that the mapping is not assigned for a particular CSD pit or pipe
We reissue some of the DRAINS pit parameters (% blockage, sag pit depth and sag pit volume) so this data isn't lost during re-export from CSD
If you create new Pits and Pipes in DRAINS, these can now be added into Civil Site Design during import
. When a pit is created, a block is assigned. There is now a Set Pit Rotation command allowing users to set a pit rotation to apply to the block displayed, and to move the block insertion point (relative to the intersect of the pipes)
. A new command has been added to set up the plot order of pipe networks when Plot All Networks is selected during the Plot Long Section command
. House Connections can now be designed by seting the start/end elevation to aid in design of house connections
. The Create/Edit HC command has been added ot the Edit House Connection dropdown - there is a button on the form that displays to edit an existing house connection. This is useful when the house connection pits are repositioned and it is desired to rerun the house connection rules to obtain a calculated house connection end elevation
Fixes
This release includes addressing issues raised by customers and identified through internal testing. For details see the readme.
