The MicroStation product team is pleased to announce the availability of MicroStation V8i SELECTseries 4. This version of MicroStation V8i SELECTseries 4 incorporates a number of requested enhancements and fixes and leverages the Bentley CONNECTION Client to enable you take advantage of Bentley Cloud Services.

In addition to being the best 3D modeling software for projects of any size and complexity for architects and engineers, MicroStation provides all the benefits of traditional CAD software. You can produce detailed drawings and documentation, renderings and animations. Unlike simple CAD design software, MicroStation’s power and flexibility helps you focus your time and energy on developing designs to build a better world.

The main enhancements with this release are:

- Certified to run on Windows 10
- Patterning and Hatching have incorporated Annotation Scale like text, dimensioning, and cells.
- Autodesk RealDWG 2016
- Raster Manager can now attach layers from Bing Maps
- The CONNECTION Client is installed for sharing projects on the Cloud.
- Print PDF’s directly to the Cloud for CONNECTED projects

According to Bentley this is the last planned MicroStation release in the V8i (SELECTseries) line. All future development will be in MicroStation CONNECT.
