Applied Flow Technology Fathom 11.0.1103 build 2020.03.19 | 392.7 mb
AFT has announced the development and new version release of their flagship software, AFT Fathom 11 for incompressible flow systems.
AFT Fathom 11 New Features
- Multi-Scenario Comparison: Data can be compared between multiple scenarios to show changes made
- Cross-plot Pump vs. System curves across multiple operating scenarios
- Multi-level undo and redo on the Workspace
- All Summary Output parameters can now be displayed on the Visual Report
- Double-click on a junction on the Toolbox to add multiple to the Workspace (similar to pipes)
- Convert intermediate elevations to new pipes and branches
- Can now save ‘design alerts’ and load from a file

>> Changes to computation logic that could impact results <<
- None.
>> Changes to data management that could impact results <<
- None.
>> Changes that do not impact results <<
- Fixed a problem where switching from using multiple fluid heat transfer to a single fluid would give a subscript error and stop the application.
- Fixed some Import issues where some controls in the Workspace were not enabled.
- Fixed a bug with images in annotations: If annotation does not have original image path it will look in the model folder.
- Fixed an issue where the Graph Tab was not activating properly when the Output Tab is floating.
- Fixed some efficiency graph issues for Pump when efficiency is constant.
- For SSL the Slurry System Curve tab will always show now, but will display a reason if the curve cannot be shown.
- Added Magnifier and Pan to the Visual Report Tab.
- The automatic exporting for Excel Export Manager was not working. This has been fixed.
- Fixed an issue that caused the Quick Access Panel scenario tree to not refresh after clicking the "Last Scenario" toolbar command.
- Fixed an issue that prevented Design Factors from transferring to selected junctions when Globally Edited from an existing junction.
- Fixed an issue that caused "Copy Data From Junction" form to appear unexpectedly when opening Screen Specification Forms.
- Fixed an issue that caused groups to reference pipes or junctions that were not present in the current scenario.
AFT Fathom 11 includes 30 new features and enhancements. This video demonstrates the top 4 new features which are: the Scenario Comparison tool, Multi-Scenario Pump vs. System Curves, Workspace Magnifier tool, and the Combine and Split Pipes function. View the full list here.
AFT Fathom is fluid dynamic simulation software used by engineers in over 80 countries to calculate pressure drop and flow distribution in liquid and low velocity gas piping and ducting systems.
AFT Fathom helps engineers understand their piping system and predict how pipes, valves, pumps and other components interact with each other. It allows them to easily model, analyze and simulate their systems in order to evaluate the performance of new designs and assure all design requirements are met. AFT Fathom truly helps engineers accurately select and size components, so they can produce less costly and more reliable piping systems.
