Altair Flow Simulator 2022.2.1

The software developer Altair is pleased to announce the availability of Flow Simulator 2022.2.1 is the single, unified fluid system design tool/platform for GE Aviation’s Thermal System design, Combustion, Lube/fuel systems, and externals teams. It is rooted in decades of practical usage and experience, with aerospace-quality level validation and verification.

Highlights
Several problems have been fixed from the 2022.2 release.
- Resolved graphical user interface (GUI) writing “Seal Type” and Honeycomb size for Vermes Seal element.
- Resolved the Advanced Tube enthalpy change in the solver. Temperature change was already working correctly.
Known Issues
The following known issues will be addressed in a future release as we continuously improve software performance:
- The new controller interface does not work with controllers that have two relations. For example, a 1D table and Python script in the same controller.
Resolved Issues
- GUI writing “Seal Type” and Honeycomb size for Vermes Seal element.
- Advanced Tube enthalpy change in the solver. Temperature change was already working correctly. The Advanced Tube was named the Advanced Orifice prior to version 2022.2. This resolved issue only affects models using enthalpy for the energy equation.
- GUI editing Controller using Relation Type = Linear Equation.
- Coolprop pressure and temperature limits used to determine fluid phase
