It's hard to find good punk bands anymore. Especially good girl band! The Eyeliners is one of them and this awesome.

The Eyeliners are an American Rock & Roll band, featuring three lovely sisters from Albuquerque, New Mexico, U.S.A. Their undeniable sex appeal matched with their melodic, high energy pure punk sound, is the perfect blend of old school punk with pop. From their first release "Confidential", a declarative raw punk album, to "Here Comes Trouble", their second release, and finally, "Sealed With A Kiss", a more refined sound, blending a punk sound with a pop sensibility, the progression is clear. The Eyeliners' most mature sound came to the pinnacle in their latest release "No Apologies", produced by Kenny Laguna, producer of such bands as Joan Jett and the Blackhearts, Kathleen Hanna and Bikini Kill, and many others. Their sound is not the only strength, as their shows are full of energy and fun, and will make a fan out of anyone that has the opportunity to see them live. The Eyeliners are at the definitive moment in their musical maturity, where their songwriting and sound will blow you away.

Laura, Gel and Lisa could be the Ramones long lost daughters, writes British rock mag Kerrang about punk darlings The Eyeliners - singing love songs that sound like they belong at a drive-in movie but are delivered at a pace more suited to the racetrack. Sisters Laura, Lisa and Gel know what it means to rock. Their unpretentious sound, beaming with sincerity, combines the energy and rawness of punk rock with catchy hooks that you can't get out of your head.

In 1995, The Eyeliners started as three sisters playing our favorite punk songs in their parents' garage. Of course they weren't The Eyeliners then - they didn't have a name for the band and they didn't have own songs yet. They practiced incessantly learning every riff of the Clash or every bassline from the Descendents. It wasn't long before they began to write songs of their own. Their debut was a house party about a month and a half after their inception. They had not yet agreed on a name, so in a last minute decision we decided on Psychodrama. After that show, they realized how much they loved music and became serious about playing shows and writing songs. They made a homemade demo and began passing it around. Soon after, girls started getting shows at clubs opening for touring bands, as well as local bands.

Their unpretentious sound, beaming with sincerity, is a pure punk rock that echoes such influences as The Ramones, Stiff Little Fingers, and Operation Ivy. Their early shows were met with great response and they moved quickly onto the national punk scene. After issuing their debut single "Vivid" the sisters adopted their new name to The Eyeliners, and in mid-1996, landing at Sympathy for the Record Industry label, the following year to release the seven-inch "Broke My Heart". The full-length Confidential appeared later in May 1997, as did a Halloween single, "Do The Zombie"; "Rock 'N' Roll, Baby!" 7" followed in 1998, and after moving at Panic Button Records. The Eyeliners issued their second full-length album "Here Comes Trouble" in early 2000. In 2001 coming "Sealed With A Kiss". Through their relentless touring they have built an ever increasing fan base and have toured with such bands as The Donnas, Yellowcard, Alkaline Trio, and No Use For A Name. They have earned highly sought after slots on such prestigious tours as The Plea For Peace Tour and The Warped Tour, which they played many years consecutively.

After several years of drumming and singing, Laura decided to step forward and devote all her energy to singing. Since then, the band has had a line of drummers filling in for live shows including Hunter from AFI, Branden Steineckert of The Used, and Tim O'Hara from The Lillingtons. Most latest, Thommy Price who has played with Patty Smith, Billy Idol, and currently Joan Jett and the Blackhearts, sat in with The Eyeliners on some dates and is featured on "No Apologies".

• Laura: vocals, drums • Gel: guitar, backing vocals • Lisa: bass, backing vocals •

The Eyeliners released their latest CD, "No Apologies", on Blackheart Records, produced by legendary hitmaker Kenny Laguna. The Eyeliners' sound reaches a pinnacle of rock, pop, and punk sensibilities, on this stellar CD. This album demonstrates significant growth for this band. The sound of the album is slightly different - slightly more polished, quieter in certain spots and a little less raw than their earlier work, but in the end there's absolutely no doubt that you're listening to an Eyeliners record. Over the years The Eyeliners have achieved great technical mastery of their respective instruments, but technical mastery means nothing if the new songs and performances aren't equally great. Luckily for those of us who love this band, all three of those components come together in perfect harmony on No Apologies.

While there was no official announcement stating that the band have broken up, there has been no activity from the band since December 2005, so it would appear that they have ceased operations. Lisa married Tim O'Hara (Timmy V of The Lillingtons) on April 30th, 2005, and, according to a fan site, has been a mother since November 2006. According to the same site, Laura got married in November 2007……

While they dish up more sass than thrash, the Eyeliners would bloody more than a few lips in any Rock & Roll rumble. They stick to basic punky Rock & Roll on their 1997 debut, Confidential, but they've got a few tricks in their bag beyond the usual three chords. The guitar has garage attitude, with plenty of tough flourishes, and the vocals range from pretty to snotty, with the kind of perfect harmonies that seem possible only from siblings, whose voices are cut from the same cloth. Frolicking basslines and fast and furious drums propel the album's best rockers, "Anywhere but Here" and "Won't Be Long", which tear along at full throttle, seemingly ready to run off the road at any moment. The Eyeliners approach the teenage landscape of ditching class, AWOL boyfriends, and social awkwardness with attitude, like a teenage girl's slumber party where the agenda is boys and gossip, fueled by plenty of cigarettes and brandy lifted from the liquor cabinet downstairs. In other words, this would be the perfect soundtrack for sneaking away from home late at night in a sleek car with the windows rolled down and the stereo blasting, and let's be honest – teenagers aren't the only ones who might need an album like that.

The Eyeliners - Here Comes Trouble (2000)
FLAC+CUE+LOG or MP3 CBR 320 | 27:54 min | 216 or 64 MB

Although the tediousness of Ramones influenced punk sank in sometime around the release of the Queers Beat Off album, here come The Eyeliners to rekindle this worn out genre. On their second album Here Comes Trouble, these three leopard print, leather jacket wearing broads are full of attitude and snottiness. Female-fronted three-chord punk that's complete with a presence that exudes that they take slack from no one. If Rizzo from Grease got cloned three times and they started their own band, it would definitely sound something like the Eyeliners.

The Eyeliners - Sealed With A Kiss (2001)
FLAC+CUE+LOG or MP3 CBR 320 | 27:03 min | 207 or 62 MB

Girls have been in rock bands for years now and it's nothing new. But the Eyeliners, a trio from Albuquerque, NM, are not your average girl band. Rather, these three gals are on the gorgeous side and very aware of it. Every one of their albums and 7"s features a picture of them posing like Rock & Roll supermodels. They began as a just-out-of-the-garage garage band and after several years together have developed some chops. On this, second release on Ben Weasel's Panic Button Records, which is distributed by Lookout!, The Eyeliners finally release a sequel to hit album Here Comes Trouble – and again, it's just an improvement on their past works.

The Eyeliners - No Apologies (2005)
FLAC+CUE+LOG or MP3 CBR 320 | 42:22 min | 321 or 99 MB

When you think punk rock, three sisters from Albuquerque, New Mexico aren't the first thing that would normally spring to mind. The Eyeliners, comprised of sisters Laura, Lisa and Gel, are proving that they are no flash in the pan. These girls are no stranger to being on the road, having spent the past several years earning their stripes with bands such as Blink 182, The Donnas, and Social Distortion, as well as rock icons Joan Jett and The Blackhearts.

Now, after resting up from the tours and catching their breath, The Eyeliners are back with their newest release, No Apologies, on Blackheart Records. On this album, the girls of The Eyeliners deliver a stronger, more powerful rock sound then the bands previous album, "Sealed With A Kiss". The lyrics here are meaty and carry a high energy sound that carries throughout the album from start to finish. The album leads of with the track "Think Of Me" with its in your face lyrics, strong riffs and fast paced style that sticks with you. "Destroy" is a standout song on the album. The song gets it right in all areas and features Joan Jett on backing vocals and her classic guitar work. Jett also makes an appearance lending backing vocals on "Voice of Reason". The band showcases it more rock n' roll side on the track "Can't Get Enough". With it's catchy chorus and powerful sound, it is enough to capture your ear. One of the biggest surprises is a cover of When in Rome's "The Promise". Lead singer Laura's mature vocal style combine with great guitar, allowing the band make the song all their own.

The Eyeliners were produced this time around by Kenny Laguna. They seem a little older and wiser on this album and ready to breakout into the mainstream. The record is filled with melodic, powerful, fun songs. If you are looking punk rock with a poppier and punchier rock edge, this CD is worth a look.
