Terry Durham - Crystal Telephone (Deram 1969) 24-bit/96kHz Vinyl Rip.

Posted By: son-of-albion

This is a wonderfully different album. Terry delivers a set of occasionally surreal, occasionally gritty monologues, backed by a jazz band who veer from the smooth to the experimental. Special mentions are reserved for "Dreams Of Tomorrow" - bluesy and grainy - "Stills From A Late Night Movie" which is like listening to a groovy 60s British drama soundtrack with dialogue included, and the title track, the closest Terry gets to singing. Imagine if Kerouac and the Beats came from North Yorkshire, this is probably what they'd have sounded like. doctordan22
