Stamatis Kokotas is a greek folk singer who became very popular during the 60's, 70's and 80's. Kokotas career started with Stavros Xarhakos famous album "A noon" (1966) with two songs and his reputation skyrocketed thereafter with wonderful compositions of Dimos Moutsis, Yiannis Spanos, Giorgos Hadjinasios, Giorgos Zabetas and others. His interpretations remain insurmountable till today and he is classified among the five greater folk voices of all time. This excellent compilation contains 14 unforgettable songs of Kokotas' golden period. Enjoy a rare melodic voice and a unique technique by a master.
