James Last Lounge Legends

Funky and groovy tunes from one of Germany's greatest easy artists! James Last wasn't ever super-huge over here – but in Europe during the late 60s and early 70s, he sold records by the bucketful – and for good reason! Last took the German's love of electric bass in easy instrumental albums – pumped it up even more than usual, added in a talent for brassy finish and a flourish for the electric solo, and took easy and pop instrumental grooves way into the 70s. This excellent set is probably the best compilation ever of Last's work – and it puts together 20 tracks with a focus on the funky and groovy side of his sound, skipping past some of the sleepier numbers to come up with gems that will make you want to dig up as much of Last's older work as you can!
