Recorded in June 1983, Horowitz's technique was at it's all-time low,
His wife Wanda called this recital a funeral.
Indeed it was suspected that Horowitz would never play again after this recital.
Despite Horowitz's shocking inaccuracies, there are still 'moments of genius.'
Horowitz's playing in this recording has been described as 'late Cortot on crack,'
a funny sounding, though not wholely inaccurate assessment.
