Hank Garland - Jazz Winds from a New Direction (1961)
Bebop guitar Jazz, Oldies | MP3 256 Kbps | tags, playlist | 56 MB

Although guitarist Hank Garland spent most of his life as an country musician, he was actually a pretty darn great jazz player. This lost session, done for Columbia in 1960, is a real gem – and it features a modal modern groove, laid down by Garland on guitar, Gary Burton on vibes, Joe Benjamin on bass, and Joe Morello on drums. Hank enjoyed a prestigious career as a country virtuoso, played with Elvis Presley, Roy Orbinson and others, and inspired jazz instrumentalists such as George Benson.
