This is the 4th album of Los Calchakis with the general title "La flute indienne". It contains 14 traditional Peruvian instrumental pieces. The origin of some goes back to the ancient Incas. Los Calchakis (as you can see from the album cover) are using many different kinds of flutes for a rich and spectacular result. The recording quality is excellent, as in all Calchakis albums.

Los Calchakis are a Latin American band consisting of Argentinians and Chilian musicians, formed in 1960 by Hector Miranda. They master the art of entertaining with great talent and restraint. It is difficult to find recordings of indian flutes so authentic and played with such an artistic mastery, as this album series of Los Calchakis.
