Topper's long list of credits starts with one of his first sessions at Criteria Studios playing with Dickie Betts (of The Allman Brothers Band) and continues with many guest appearances with artists such as Lynyrd Skynyrd, Albert Collins, and The Band, as well as countless regional acts like the Subdudes, The Radiators, and most recently Brother Cane. For over twenty years he has delighted audiences in numerous bands like Cowboy, The Convertibles and many others. Although his fans may know him from his work with these well known artists, Topper Price and his band, the Upsetters are with out a doubt one of the hardest working blues bands in Alabama.
Topper and his band cover classics with a hint of modernism and urbanity. The band is tight and Topper's harp is as good as it gets. The original song "Long Way From Home" shows the potential of Price as one of the greats. Topper Price lived for his music and you can hear that in this collection.
