The Doors - Live USA (1992)

Excellent Doors Live recordings from TV appearances circa 1967-1969. Since these recordings are from TV signal they provide excellent audio quality. The Doors live USA includes performances from Ed Sullivan Show )1967), Smoothers Brothers show (late 1968), Doors live at the Hollywood Bowl (1968) from Doors film by the same name and Jonathen Winters Show (1967). Light My Fire II is a rare performance where Jim Morrison looses his voice towards the end of the song and starts to scream and clap. He then rushes and crashes into the stage props which can be heard at the end of the song. The music abruptly fades out probably because the program went straight into commercial. This CD came out in the late 1980s and early 1990s when many VHS videos started to circulate bootlegs of the Doors performances. It is easier today to access these performances on YOUTUBE or similar websites. The difference is that this CD is also provides a historical footnote to the continuing evolution of bootleg recording technology.
