Needlepoint - The Woods Are Not What They Seem (2010)

The new Norwegian band Needlepoint is a trio consisting of Nikolai Haengsle Eilertsen, Thomas Bjorn and Stronen Klakegg. They released their debut album The Woods Are Not What They Seem in March last year. On the album the mix various music genres, but their main expression is rock inspired jazz, and the different musical profile of the three members creates an exiting musical experience.
Thomas Strønen is an exciting drummer, known from bands like Humcrush, Food, Meadow, Parish and for his collaboration with Sidsel Endresen, Christian Fennesz, and Nils Petter Molvaer.
Nikolai Eilertsen Hængsle is one of most prominent rock bassists of Norway, with long experience in BigBang, The National Bank and Elephant9.
Bjorn Klakegg, guitarist with a distinctive sound, leads his own quartet, and is also involved in Gewelt Terje Vidar Johansen Trio and Quartet.
