My Life With the Thrill Kill Kult's industrial blend of B-movie samples, house beats, and kitschy apocalyptic pretense coheres nicely on Kooler Than Jesus. The 1989 EP on Wax Trax!/TVT Records features two original tracks ("Kooler Than Jesus" and "Devil Bunnies") along with combined material from the Chicago group's first two 12" vinyl-only single releases, My Life with the Thrill Kill Kult and Some Have to Dance…Some Have to Kill. Highlights like "Devil Bunnies" and "Resisting the Spirit" feature an atmospheric range and programming prowess that make this offering one of the outfit's best. While lacking the continuity and psychosexual excesses featured in Confessions of a Knife or Sexplosion!, Kooler Than Jesus has more than enough conceptual strength and inspired production of its own, making it one of the industrial genre's significant early-‘90s releases. ~Allmusic
