This is a Philips release of Lerchenmusik performed by Schonberg Ensemble which we've mentioned recently. For me no big differences comparing to a LINensemble performance, some moments are played in a slightly different tempi but this is relevant only to people who got used to one interpretation or another and know it by heart. In addition to this masterpiece (for me), on a cd we have one more piece, less known, but also intriguing (track #3). I cannot put it precisely but in late Górecki's works I love a very special, dense, almost microtonal harmony, solemnity and - at the same time - a wild vital energy.
This is a third upload of Górecki's music in the last days. What may that mean…?
