Heidi Burson - The Story (2017)

Almost one year ago opportunity knocked and Heidi Burson just happened to answer the door. Having moved to the Nashville, Tennessee area over a decade ago, from Ohio, to pursue her musical R&B career, Heidi, like many musicians was met with numerous challenges. However, nothing could persuade her from her first love, music. Thankfully, the Bobby Bone’s nationally syndicated morning show provided her with a much needed break last fall.

While singing Karaoke in Nashville’s Hard Rock Café, an intern from the Bone’s show video-taped Heidi singing her version of Prince’s Purple Rain. Completely blown away by Heidi’s incredible vocals, the intern did what all career hungry interns do by sharing this video with the show’s producer! The very next morning Heidi was contacted by the Bone’s show and invited to perform on air. During her performance, Bone’s himself was so astounded from Heidi’s vocal talent that he described her as, “better than 70% of the people who come in to perform and have record deals."

This was the shot in the arm Heidi needed. Following her appearance on the Bobby Bone’s Morning Show, Heidi took a leap of faith, quit her full time job, and began touring the U.S. with Good Company. This past June, Heidi crossed the pond with Good Company to join this muti-talented group of musicians on its annual Great English Pub Crawl tour to raise funds for local charities across England. Later that summer the musical group added a comedy troupe for enhanced entertainment while performing at the Edfringe Festival in Edinburgh, Scotland. When asked about her decision on taking this leap of faith Heidi described the following; “Music is like air to me. I simply cannot be without it.”

No-Country Preview Women Who Rock said this after hearing cuts off of Heidi’s debut album, Every Shade of Blue, “The sultry tone that Heidi produces can silence most any room she is performing in.” Fans pleasure in this talent’s vocal range which is reminiscent of Etta James, Aretha Franklin and Adele. Patrons of every age find themselves out of their seats dancing the evening away while enjoying original music written by Heidi seamlessly weaved in with popular cover songs throughout the evening sets.
