Psychedelic Trance (European Portuguese) and psychedelic (Brazilian Portuguese) (also referred to as psy trance) is a form of electronic music developed in the late 1980s in Israel from the Goa trance (in India, Goa).
This style has a fast beat, between 135 and 165 beats per minute (bpm), besides the strong beat to kick in a 4x4 beat, which sometimes differs from the techno beat to have a frequency range a little louder than the sounds serious.
The original goa trance was often made with synthesizers and samplers modular hardware, but the preference in Psychedelic trance he focused on the handling and storage of samples in sampling programs VST and AU. The use of
analog synthesizers for sound synthesis instruments gave way to "digital" virtual analog like the Nord Lead, Access Virus, Korg MS-2000, Roland JP-8000 and computer plug-ins VST and AU as the Native Instruments Reaktor.
These are usually controlled by MIDI sequencers within a Digital Audio Workstation (DAW). The psychedelic trance is often played at outdoor festivals (away from large urban centers), which can last several days, with the music
playing 24 hours a day.
