House music is a style of music emerged in Chicago in the United States in the first half of the 1980s. The origin of the name was due to this new style of dance music that emerged and began to be played in the night club called the Warehouse. The patrons of the house went to record stores demand of the songs heard in the club and asked for "that song's Warehouse" until the stores start to shorten the name Warehouse Music to house only. Many say that House Music is a part of disco and electropop of the 70 years since styles of music were almost contemporaries . Frankie Knuckles is acclaimed by many as the "father" of House Music , it is one of the pioneers of this genre along with other names such as Tony Humphries . Currently there are many sub-sections of the house, such as: Funky-House, Tech-House, Disco, House, Progressive House, Electro House, Acid House, Soulful House, Neo-Jazz-House among others.
