The most obscure Magma offshoot ever is also the most underrated one. Or maybe I should say 'underexposed', because not even all Magma fans know this one. That's a shame really. I've been lucky enough to find their second album Là Où Va Le Vent years ago, but it's only been recently that I've managed to find the self-titled debut. Even if their albums actually existed on the net, there would still be a ton of other stuff with words "Ad Vitam" that would make them ridiculously hard to find. Also, the only places where you can gather some information about the band (as well as samples) are the official site (which is not that easily findable either) and a couple of reviews in English. The band's not even on Discogs. Either way, THIS, along with Offering, is my favorite Magma-offshoot band (a tiny bit ahead of Zao and way ahead of Weidorje, One Shot).

The bio? I wish I could read this. All I know at this point is that Jad Ayache is a former member of Xaal (French avant-prog); Isabelle Feuillebois is a Magma member; Julie Vander is Christian Vander's daughter; they both sing on the second album (they're not on the debut though); Christian Vander himself contributed a song for the second album.

Those Magma fans who do know about this band seem to like the debut and dislike Là Où Va Le Vent and it's not that hard to see why: while both albums are rather similar in the style (vocal- and piano-driven Zeuhl at its most calm and relaxing), the debut is jazz and folk influenced and more experimental overall and the follow-up is more song-oriented and… well, I personally hear chanson française influence (the band seems to share my opinion). Chanson/Zeuhl… talk about combining two perfect genres to get even more perfect genre (now all I need is Avant-garde/Zeuhl/Chanson/New Wave). Also, when Isabelle and Julie sing together, the vocals may sound imperfect or even dissonant at times; I do love it the way it is though. So ultimately, I love both albums equally.
