The first time I came across Roger Woodward and his playing was back in 1969 when I attended the Musica Viva Concerto in Australia, Woodward's birthplace. I was tremendously impressed by him, and promised I would compose a piece for him. I am extremely happy now that I have been able to keep my promise. it's on BIS CD-805 (1996) with Noriko Ogawa for 4:42 as pianist (very near to Woodward approach and with the Tôru consensus).
