Expandable Language is the 1985 album by the Oliver Lake Quintet. This was organized by Black Saint Records.

This free bop session (which is often quite free but often has a strong pulse) is one of altoist Oliver Lake's more rewarding sessions. Guitarist Kevin Eubanks sometimes seems a bit out of place (generally he plays in more conservative settings), but pianist Geri Allen, bassist Fred Hopkins, and drummer Pheeroan AkLaff are quite comfortable thinking on their feet during these spirited performanes.
