The Teacher’s Magazine is a monthly issue specially designed for teachers of English as Foreign or Second Language. It provides creative ready-to-go materials to make their classes more active and appealing to students. The ideal magazine for English teachers that choose to work effectively with students of all levels and ages and an asset at the moment of developing contents. In this edition you will find lesson plans and activities to work on the changes the spring and autumn equinoxes bring as well as American countries and flags of the world. Poster 1 shows a farm where spring and autumn changes are present, while in poster 2 there are bingo cards to work on American countries and their capital cities. You will find both posters useful for practising oral skills. For kindergarten children, there is a lesson plan called Fingerprint Trees, which includes teacher notes and flashcards to work on spring and autumn and their colours. For primary students you will find a lesson plan based on a poem by Edward Lear called The Duck and the Kangaroo, in addition to a lesson plan about Flags of the World. Besides using the Bingo cards for playing, you can use them to engage students into learning about the American continent with two lesson plans, one for elementary students and the other for pre-intermediate or intermediate students. Last, but not least, you will find an article on using pictures in the classroom.
