Over to some interesting content on local soil. We take a look at the CZ 550 – one of the most trusted options on the Dark Continent, especially when it comes to big calibres for dangerous-game hunting. See the latest addition to the successful series, the CZ 550 Safari Classics II, on p 26. Hunting editor, Stefan Fouché, had a special eland bull in sight as the last specimen to complete his spiral-horn quest. Read on p 10 how he hunted this old warrior
bull with open sights and at a close distance. In the process he also learnt many lessons about himself and his surrounds – an experience that added a special dimension to the hunt.
