Die jaarlikse, internasionale jagbemarkingseisoen het vroeg in Januarie reeds afgeskop met Safari Club International (SCI) se 47ste konvensie en skou in Reno, Nevada, VSA. Vir ’n verandering sit ek nie in die bos of op kantoor om hierdie maand se “Kommentaar” te skryf nie, maar is ek bevoorreg om die sneeubedekte Sierra Nevada-berge vanuit my hotelkamer op die 35ste vloer te sien.
Ek het van die geleentheid by die SCIskou gebruik gemaak om eerstehands van verskeie jagondernemers, wat ook wildtelers is, te verneem dat beide hierdie bedrywe nie ’n nuwigheid is of vinnig gaan verdwyn nie. Lees gerus op bl 30–33 wat bekendes by die
