For this month’s Stargazing collection, our designers have created elegant patterns featuring sophisticated stripes and delicate stitch details. Inspirational designs that will be entertaining to knit and a delight to wear include a wrap by Kristin Blom, feminine jumpers from Carol Meldrum and Sarah Hatton, and a chic dolman-sleeved top by Mary Henderson. We explore traditional knitting styles from Portugal and Shetland, while more modern designs include a colourwork sweater for men, and an origami-inspired wrap. Lisa Richardson has created a stunning lace jumper with a matching cowl in Rowan’s new Island Blend Fine yarn, and we have a cosy Fair Isle cardigan in organic Patagonian wool. Issue 153 includes fascinating interviews with the yarn entrepreneurs behind Cat and Sparrow, Nellie and Eve, and The Lost Sheep Company. Our masterclass, meanwhile, explores the fundamentals of Portuguese knitting. Plus, our special supplement includes a pretty cable jumper and Fair Isle cardigan knitted in West Yorkshire Spinners’ beautiful Illustrious yarn.
