This is the Special issue of Kadambini focused on short stories under the title “GALPAGATHA”, the most looked-for issue of story lovers. The issue carries fascinating short stories of well-known fictionists of Odia language. In addition, five stories of young & promising short stories writers of the language which were received in response to the annual short story competition of Kadambini under the title “GALPA UNMESH”.A translated novella by legendary Malayalam fictionist Muhammad Vaikom Basher is an addition to fiction special issue. A new column under the title “Kalajayee” carries a short story written by Padmashri Gopal Chhotray with short preface & analysis on the story placed, as a centenary tribute to this legendary playwright and fictionist.
