    THE ROGUE 2016 ART ISSUE

For this year's Art Issue, Rogue stepped out of the galleries to tell the stories of the colorful characters in its peripheries: Tats Manahan profiles Eric Hebborn, perhaps the greatest art forger of all time; Jasmine Cruz talks to four of today's most sought after portraitists Romulo Galicano, Mia Herbosa, Winner Jumalon and Mikko Sison, and finds out why there is renewed interest in capturing our likenesses in paint; titans Manuel Ocampo and Gaston Bistol Damag indulge Rogue over wine on stories of their days as art establishment losers and outcasts; and Krip Yuson writes about that intelligent and irreverent counter-culture magazine Ermita which, in its short life, provided a venue for Emman Lacaba's poetry, Peque Gallaga's early meanderings, and BenCab's visual protestations.

Also in this issue, Cocoy Lumbao writes about Sam Kiyoumarsi, the "hermit of Cubao," Devi De Veyra on the eccentric of Taft Avenue, and Mixkaela Villalon on the street poet of Vito Cruz. Plus! Trickie Lopa on the emerging relevance of collages; an excerpt from the screenplay of Raya Martin's upcoming "Smaller and Smaller Circles;" Irish Christianne Dizon talks to Jaclyn Jose and Chito Roño to paint a picture of the actress's first five years which helped shape her career and lead her to an award of a lifetime; and Yassi Pressman in her most daring shoot to date.
