    Model Boats - March 2017
    English | 84 pages | True PDF | 16.8 MB

This issue includes Part One (of two) of a comprehensive construction article for the new Model Boats Plan (available from MyHobbyStore) for Rhondda, an easy and inexpensive tug project superbly designed by Ron Rees, all starting on Page 10.
We are also pleased to welcome back Francis Macnaughton who has successfully motorised the 1:72 scale Airfix Vosper MTB and Dave Wooley visits Scale ModelWorld at Telford, a major international event organised by the UK Branch of the International Plastic Modellers Society. Many of the techniques, skills and materials used in their remarkable models have an equal application in our hobby, so it is worthwhile having a look at what that branch of the hobby has to offer us.
This issue, which was prepared in January of this year, also has a number of Readers’ Models, including a most unusual static model of a WW2 Landing Ship Tank vessel, that was modified to ‘catch’ aeroplanes. John Parker in his Flotsam and Jetsam column discusses the range of Graupner motors that were once the mainstay of model boat electric propulsion and Richard Simpson has a look at commercial miniature steam turbines. We also have the other usual regular columns, including Range Finder and BMPRS News, so I hope there is something here for all of our readers.
