Over the years, Africa has transformed its economy. Some reports
suggest that the continent’s growth is projected to accelerate to 4.8
percent in 2014 and between 5 to 6 percent in 2015. These figures should
bode well for telecom sector that has become highly competitive in the
continent. The advent of liberalisation and privatisation has a key role
to play in improving the telecommunications infrastructure in African
countries such as Uganda, Tanzania, Nigeria, Sudan, South Africa and

from a region with high potential to the one showcasing high growth.
