L’Officiel India is not one to shy away from meaningful issues and that’s why from our haute couture shoot in the slums in the August 2015 edition to our January 2016 cover with Mrs Aamir Khan a.ka. Kiran Rao, we have embraced people who take the road less travelled. At a time when the nation was up in arms against the Kolkata raised director, we decided to make her our cover girl. An economics major, she is not your usual star wife; there are no starry tantrums or long waits, as Ms Rao arrives on time and if that’s not enough, during a shoot swiftly offers everyone in the crew homemade veggies.
