In the same spirit of denial, we've bottled our outrage and gone back to the June issue with a vengeance. Our cover girl saucily wriggles out of her gypsy skirt and talks about nudist beaches and S&M. Finally, a girl. Speaking of girls after our own heart, this issue also features the lovely Kelly Brook in all her resplendent underwear clad glory (page 8).
We also started following Ron Howard on Twitter, got excited by the trailers of Crash, read up on James Hunt and Niki Lauda's rivalry and decided to outscoop him. The result is a story of dangerous overtaking, clipped wings, glorious explosions, a tragic death, batshit insanity and punched Marshalls (page 64). Football season is up, so it's time for our annual tradition - Football Awards (page 70). Plus, as India celebrates 100 years of Indian cinema we've made our own list of 100 truly spectacular cinematic failures (page 76). Men and women who've blown more chances than anyone deserves in one lifetime.
Turn to Upgrade to see 9 shoes every man must own (page 88) and Real Man skills that separate the men from the metrosexuals (page 96). Yes, smoking a cigar and drinking whiskey in the middle of the desert and taking a swim without your trunks are all in there. On facing pages actually.
As far as the rest of the magazine is concerned, the word count is running long and newsprint is at a premium - so just be a sport and find out for yourself will you. If you run out of juice mid-way, there's an extensive review on energy drinks somewhere in there two.
