The 2nd February 2018 issue of Desh is a special issue called Boi Sankhya. There are 6 write ups celebrating the birth anniversaries of eminent authors like Emily Bronte, Ivan Turgenev, Maxim Gorky, Pramatha Chaudhuri, Narayan Gangopadhyay and Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn written by Amitabha Roy, Chaitali Maitra, Arun Som, Caesar Bagchi, Shubhabrata Bandyopadhyay and Sayam Bandyopadhyay respectively.

There are 9 essays on ‘Boi bhabna’ section. Here, the writer discussed about the favourite book which he/she had read in last few days. The essays are written by Sudhir Chakraborty, Arindam Chakraborty, Joy Goswami, Gautam Bhadra, Chinmoy Guha, Abhirup Sarkar, Anirban Chattopadhyay, Pathik Guha, Tilottama Majumdar.

The lead story of Mantabya section is about Narendra Modi, written by Joydeep Chakraborty.

The novel ‘Jonakider Bari’ written by Smaranjit Chakraborty is continuing in this issue.
