India is a land which has been the birthplace of many saints and ‘Gnanis’ (enlightened people). In such a country where religion and spirituality seem to be everywhere, saints and Gnanis take birth in every era of the time cycle; even the current era of Kaliyug , (descending era) is no exception.
The cultural and ethical values of India have always taken shape through the religion and spirituality that flow from these saints and Gnanis. Whilst other countries are renowned for making more progress of an outward nature (for example with behaviour and acts of charity) India is a country which excels in making inner progress (in other words, changes in mindset and vision). The credit for that goes to all these saints and Gnanis.
