Our cover photo is by Josephine Cardin. In her images she dances gracefully as chaos billows around her, in some photos, binds lay against her body, while in others she moves, in tandem with the wisps of deceivingly ordered disorder. The woman in her photos moves through the world in upheaval knowing she need not fear it; it won’t change the solid foundation of who she is, it might just help her dance.

Lorenzo Mancini’s Sensual Fragments is a beautiful series of black and white photographs where strong women pose in such a way that the vulnerability of the nude becomes apparent as a carefully placed arm, a sweep of long hair and a backwards glance say, I am my own woman, and no one else’s. The natural inner strength of the models is both clear and intriguing.

In Lost & Found, Miklos Voros delights us with photographs of items that might otherwise have ended up in a dumpster, forever. Instead, we get to put together stories from the pictures: A pair of abandoned high heels, a tossed teddy bear and a broken computer are just some of the things that take our imaginations away. The humanity that once was invested in these items is still present; shaken from the past these items tell us that there is always a new story we can tell, the past can be reinvented.
