Wynonna Judd is set to release Back to Wy: Live on September 6th via Curb Records. The package features the country legend performing the timeless melodies from her acclaimed debut solo albums, Wynonna (1992) and Tell Me Why (1993), presented in a track-by-track journey from start to finish.
“I wanted to bottle up all of the memories we made on the Back To Wy Tour, so this live album is a gift from me…to you,” Judd shares.
The recordings were captured on her tour of the same name which launched last year.
Wynonna, selling over five million units, became the highest-selling debut album by a female artist at the time. The project earned three consecutive No. 1 hits with “She Is His Only Need,” “I Saw The Light,” and “No One Else On Earth.” A musical force like none other before her, Wynonna followed her wildly successful debut with the multi-platinum disc, Tell Me Why, which produced several hit singles including “Tell Me Why,” “Is It Over Yet,” “Rock Bottom,” and “Girls With Guitars.”
The Back to Wy Tour continues on September 6th with dates through the fall. The Country Music Hall of Famer will celebrate her 40th anniversary as a recording artist with a three-night headlining set at The Venetian in Las Vegas during the National Finals Rodeo (NFR). Judd will perform her greatest hits at The Venetian Theatre on December 11, 13, and 14.
