Is there an ideal song compilation for every band? I don’t think so.
I like Chicago a lot, despite its stylistic changes in its long discography (Jazz Rock to Pop Rock). I lost track of this band after Chicago VII (1977), where the memorable “Wishing You Were Here” appears.
This compilation is everything you need it to be. It probably misses many incredible songs, but I must tell you that it is a balanced compilation and covers the transitions and musical style changes in a nice way. This LP is excellent for those who want to know the band. In my case, it allowed me to reaffirm that Chicago was great in the 80’s. “Song For You” is simply beautiful and I would have missed it if it wasn’t for this compilation.Fran Solo, MMXVII
